About Us
The Afton Alps Ski Patrol is a volunteer organization committed to the safety and well-being of every guest on the mountain. We are trained, certified, and proud to serve our community.
Our Mission
The mission of the Afton Alps Ski Patrol is to provide professional emergency medical care, mountain safety, and rescue services to the skiing public. We uphold the standards of the National Ski Patrol and are dedicated to continuous training, teamwork, and service.
Our History
The Afton Alps Ski Patrol has served the Afton Alps ski area for decades, providing emergency medical care and mountain safety services to thousands of guests each season.
As a member organization of the National Ski Patrol, our patrollers are trained and certified to the NSP standard — including Outdoor Emergency Care (OEC), toboggan handling, and lift evacuation procedures.
What started as a small group of dedicated volunteers has grown into a skilled patrol team that takes pride in its professionalism, camaraderie, and commitment to the mountain community.
What We Stand For
Safety First
Every decision we make on the mountain is guided by a commitment to the safety of guests, fellow patrollers, and ski area staff.
Service
We are volunteers who give our time freely because we believe in giving back to the skiing community that we love.
Excellence
We hold ourselves to the highest standards of emergency medical care and mountain operations through ongoing training and certification.
Teamwork
Ski patrol is a team sport. We rely on each other, communicate openly, and support every member of our patrol family.
National Ski Patrol
Afton Alps Ski Patrol is a proud member of the National Ski Patrol — the largest winter rescue organization in the world. NSP membership means our patrollers meet nationally recognized standards for emergency care and mountain operations.
